Two weeks ago we announced the release of our next film, horror short Hushy Bye, by releasing the film’s Trailer. The release date for the film was set for 30.1.17 at 6pm and we’re pleased to say, that time has now come… Hushy Bye is our first entirely Springhead Film Company production, directed by James Webber, shot by Lorenzo Lervini and produced by Poppaea Bicknell and Rebecca Van Cleave. The script was written for us by the talented Mark Brennan (Tea For Two) and we are excited to have been able collaborate with him on this project.

The shoot for Hushy Bye took place over one night last year at a house in Twickenham, and our amazing cast and crew went above and beyond to get the film shot within the tight timeframe. Springhead DoP Lorenzo Levrini and his team produced stunning lighting concepts to set the mood for this highly atmospheric horror. Our lead actors Mhairi Calvey (Braveheart) and Will Rastall (Game of Thrones) both put in stellar performances as new parents Laura and Daniel. The couples’ newborn baby was played by the adorable Max Mallaby who, at just 17 days old at the time of filming, already has his first film credit!

In post-production we once again had the chance to work with phenomenal colourist Jason R. Moffat, whom we worked with previously on both Soror and The Prey. Then our amazing in-house sound designer Helen Miles combined talents with music composer Derek Kirkup to create an insidiously creepy soundscape and score that will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up.
Hushy Bye was an intense experience for all of us, as it was such a short shoot, but we are extremely happy with how the final film has turned out. We are excited to share it with you all and we hope that you enjoy this short, sharp, shocker!
So turn out the lights, turn up the volume and prepare yourself for Hushy Bye…
